This policy explains what information is collected when you visit tehworldnews.com (the “site”) or contact us, and what choices you have. The site is operated by Teh World News (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at tehworldnews@gmail.com.
What we and our providers collect
- Server logs (Netlify). The site is a static website hosted by Netlify. When you load a page, Netlify’s servers receive and may log technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser and device type, and referring page. See Netlify’s privacy policy. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors.
- Analytics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see how the site is used: pages viewed, approximate location (such as country or city), device and browser type, how you arrived, and how long you stay. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technologies to recognise a browser. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use the reports for understanding and improving the site; we do not try to identify individual visitors.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to respond and to keep a record, and do not share it except where the law requires.
- Nothing else. The site has no user accounts, comments, newsletter sign-up or contact forms. We do not collect other personal information directly through the site. Fonts, images and code are served from our own site, and we do not embed social media widgets; links to social platforms are ordinary links.
Advertising (possible in the future)
We may show ads through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can manage ad personalization in Google’s Ad Settings, or opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org (in the EEA/UK, youronlinechoices.com). If we enable ads, we will update this policy first.
Cookies and your choices
The site itself does not set cookies. Cookies come from Google Analytics and, if enabled, Google AdSense. When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline. Until you accept, analytics and advertising storage is switched off (Google Consent Mode): no Google Analytics or advertising cookies are set, although Google may still receive limited, cookie-less signals when a page loads, such as the page address and your IP address as part of the request. If you accept, Google Analytics may set cookies and collect the statistics described above. If you decline, those cookies stay off. We save your choice in your browser’s local storage on your device (not a cookie) so we do not ask again; you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits on any site, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Do Not Track. Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals or to Global Privacy Control signals automatically. Because we do not sell your data and use analytics providers only to measure our own site, use the opt-outs above for the choices that are available to you.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information for money. We share information only with the providers that run the site (Netlify for hosting, Google for analytics and, if enabled, ads, and our email provider) and when the law requires it. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
In the past 12 months, the categories of personal information that we or our providers may have collected are: identifiers (IP address, cookie or device identifiers, and email address if you email us); internet or network activity (pages viewed, referring page); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and device and browser information. The purposes are running, securing and improving the site, measuring audience and responding to messages. We do not sell personal information for money. If we enable advertising cookies, sharing data with Google for cross-context behavioral advertising may count as “sharing” under California law, and you can opt out using the links above or by emailing us. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We keep information only as long as needed for these purposes. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it or correct it, and we will not discriminate against you for making a request. Most data is held by Netlify and Google and not by us, so for those we will tell you how to use their tools.

Security
The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
